Join us to hear how Cardiff in Wales is being globally recognised for creative industries innovation. In the last decade, the creative industries have been cemented as a cornerstone of the Welsh economy, stimulating growth and developing at a pace. Cardiff has developed a reputation for its creative might and excellence - becoming known as a place where ideas thrive. Since 2019, the Clwstwr programme has been stimulating research and development (R&D) in the screen and news sectors – investing more than £3 million in 120 innovation projects to create new products, services and experiences. Clwstwr Director Professor Justin Lewis will share more about the transformative impact of Clwstwr and will be joined by those who have been at the forefront of reimagining the provision of news.

Lewis Vaughan Jones is a co-director of Lewnah, a media production company based in Cardiff and London. Their Clwstwr project, Kids News, has been exploring a digital space for children to consume news stories. Lucy Young, head of SaaS Delivery at AMPLYFI, will share more on AI in the Newsroom, their gamechanging Clwstwr project. Azize Naji, CEO of Goggleminds, will discuss their Clwstwr project - Exploring the utility of immersive technology to deliver training to the healthcare sector.
